BellXcel
BellXcel is a national nonprofit which builds the capacity of schools and community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide evidence-based, out-of-school-time (OST) programs for PreK-8 children. Founded in 1992 as an afterschool program, BellXcel quickly developed a track record of success and is now a national OST leader, reaching more than 70,000 “scholars” annually through 150+ partner providers across 36 states. Nationally, 80% of scholars in BellXcel-powered programs attend Title I schools or live in low-income communities, and 80% are children of color. Rigorous evaluation shows that scholars make significant academic gains and build skills for life success.
